Daniel Cremin AKC - Director & Founder
With nearly 20 years professional experience as an external environment analyst, strategist and public affairs leader, Daniel has extensive in-depth knowledge and connectivity when it comes to Whitehall, the UK party political ecosystem, and multiple sectors of the economy.
Early in his career, Daniel worked as a public affairs and corporate communications consultant in a fast-growing scale-up firm that is today SEC Newgate UK. He became a specialist Head of Education practice working with clients such as AQA, Cambridge Assessment, the Association of School and College Leaders, Tribal Group Plc, and multiple FE, HE and private skills providers.
He additionally worked with a variety of businesses and organisations in the technology, public services markets, local government, and built environment sectors with notable clients including Visa Europe, Serco, Electrical Safety First, the Home Builders Federation, the Timber Trade Federation, and Barratt Developments Plc.
After moving to King’s College London in 2012, Daniel was promoted twice during his tenure to become Director of Public Affairs & External Affairs and an SMT member in its External Affairs & Communications Directorate. He worked closely with multiple Presidents & Vice-Chancellors and other senior leaders to secure engagement opportunities with senior decision makers in Whitehall and the key funding and regulatory bodies. He also provided in-depth policy analysis, speechwriting support, and helped design and execute thought leadership programmes.
Daniel also led on institutional policy and governance adaptation around a variety of key regulatory and funding developments, including the Higher Education (Freedom of Speech) Act 2023 which brought major changes to the university’s operating context.
Daniel worked closely with the university’s Strategy, Planning and Analytics team and helped develop the university’s long-term Vision 2029, Strategy 2026, and multiple cross-functional institutional and faculty strategies.
Daniel’s role also entailed supporting key academic units at King’s to engage effectively with and generate impact across a variety of sectors. He supported strategic planning and external engagement around the launch of King’s Business School and major initiatives the university took forward in areas such as life sciences, AI, digital infrastructure and the Internet of Things, mental health, and climate & sustainability.
Daniel also brings experience as a past Further Education Governor at Basingstoke College of Technology, a past governor at an all-through academy, a past alternate trustee and observer for King’s College London in the University Schools Trust, and a former NED of the South Bank Employers’ Group (SBEG).
Daniel graduated from Lancaster University with an Honours Degree in History & Politics and holds the Associate of King’s College (AKC) award.
Harry Poultney - Associate Consultant
Harry has over 15 years professional experience as a political campaigner, Parliamentary researcher and in public affairs and stakeholder relations consultancy roles.
A graduate in Political Science and Government from the University of Sheffield, Harry is a highly experienced consultant with an excellent working knowledge of the British political landscape at all levels of government.
He has advised businesses and organisations across a range of sectors from energy and education to housing and urban development. He’s also worked with leading trade associations in multiple sectors including in the food and hospitality sectors.
He was made an appointee in 2025 to the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Night Time Economy Commission.
Naturally entrepreneurial, Harry has also founded multiple hospitality and catering businesses and currently owns a restaurant, wine bar and cheese shop.
