Cogent Perspectives can advise on and support engagement with a broad range of policy makers in central government and other key players in the broader UK political, public funder and regulatory ecosystems.

That said, at this point in our business journey, Cogent Perspectives has decided not to undertake any of the specific regulated activities that would require us to become a statutory registered consultant lobbyist under the provisions of the Transparency of Lobbying, Non-Party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014. This is a voluntary choice aligned to our business strategy.

Speechwriting and speech coaching – the founder of Cogent Perspectives, Daniel Cremin, is a highly experienced speechwriter who has helped write or refine keynote speeches for UK and international audiences for multiple university and business leaders, senior executives, academics, Parliamentarians, and a former Prime Minister. We can also offer coaching and rehearsals to aid the delivery of speeches and presentations.

Application support – if you are applying for a highly competitive senior job role or elite university education progamme, we can offer professional advisory and editorial support to help you contextualise the key issues, ensure your relevant experiences strongly resonate, and frame your application to stand out in a crowded field.   

Cogent Perspectives is proud to offer a range of external environment insights products.  

We have several cross-cutting thematic insights products – written publications circulated on either a fortnightly or monthly basis – where the client signs up for a stipulated period for an agreed fixed price. These are invoice-based services and there are no ‘auto renewal’ traps. You must specifically agree in writing to extend any subscription beyond a set period of time.  

If you need more bespoke analytical support, we can also design tailored insights products for your organisation’s strategic goals and sectoral context.

 We can advise on integrated thought leadership programmes that blend events and reports with media features and interviews. This draws on Daniel Cremin’s extensive career experience of working with academic researchers and university leaders on policy translation as well as with large trade associations and businesses. We can also support you in scoping out and developing public policy positions and evidence for reports and submissions.
